Project overview

The couple already had plans drawn up and were looking for a builder who could deliver the project on a realistic schedule. We quoted the job with a clear timeline of around four months. The project aimed to expand and modernise the existing home while maintaining the classic Morpeth charm and ensuring the final result felt cohesive.

This large-scale extension and renovation effectively involved rebuilding most of the existing home. The couple lived on-site throughout the build, so careful planning and communication were key. The build included:

Overcoming challenges with care

A major challenge was wet weather early in the build, which delayed excavation and groundwork. Proactive scheduling and coordination allowed our team to recover lost time. Once excavation was complete, progress remained smooth and efficient.

Finished home

Despite the size of the job, we completed the project within four and a half months, including weather delays. The final result was a completely renewed home – cohesive, well-detailed, and consistent from end to end.

The extension and renovation were so seamless most people couldn’t tell where the original house ended and the new began.
