Project overview

We were involved in this project from the planning phase, helping bring to life a beautiful extension to an older double-brick home. The aim was to create a modern, functional and comfortable extension that blended seamlessly with the existing heritage charm of the property.

Build specifics

The design approach was clean and minimal, with a focus on refining and restoring the original home while complementing it with a fresh new addition.

The build included:

  • Extensive refurbishment of the existing house, including patching all render, repainting, and restoring original doors and trims

  • Converting an old, enclosed deck into a new ensuite, creating better functionality and flow

  • Constructing a modern rear extension and deck, as well as a new shed at the back of the property

Overcoming challenges with care

The main challenge during this build was navigating council approvals for the extension and modifications to the existing structure. Close coordination during the design and submission process ensured smooth approvals with no major delays. We took extra care to match old and new materials, providing a seamless transition between the two. 

Finished home

The concept for the renovation was to blend modern updates with a timeless, lived-in atmosphere. We supplied and managed all trades for the project.

Project update

The property was later listed for auction and achieved a strong sale price, reflecting the quality of workmanship and cohesive design. It received excellent feedback from agents and buyers for how naturally the new addition blended with the original structure.
